I am a certified Feng Shui professional and Qigong instructor, including Organ Cleansing Qigong (a form of medical Qigong). I live in West Reading, Pa. which is the greater Philadelphia area. I work with clients in their homes and businesses in addition to facilitating workshops and speaking engagements on Feng shui, Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation. As a Feng shui professional I work with clients through the application of Five Elements practice, clutter clearing, space clearing, intuition, interior design and decorating, land blessing and psychological applications of Feng shui. I provide the client effective Feng shui solutions for challenging home and business problems ensuring the best possible life supporting environments.
I am also passionate in sharing the life benefits of Qigong practice and Mindfulness meditation. My workshops quickly demonstrate how accessible Qigong and Mindfulness meditation are for every one of all ages. I teach that when we find our breath through Qigong practice and Mindfulness meditation practice, we find that often elusive peace that is within all of us.
Holistic Living Found Me
Early in life I worked as an interior decorator and then moved into the music field being a professional jazz guitarist for 35 years. I taught jazz guitar and music theory at Bucknell, Susquehanna and Messiah Universities and also wrote five books on jazz guitar theory and application. Throughout my life I have been interested in music, art, psychology and eastern spiritual philosophy and other things. Years ago while in a book store I ran across a small book on Feng shui and it really resonated with me. I did some research and purchased a book on Feng shui. I found it very interesting and knew it was right down my alley. But that was that and I didn't give it much more thought after reading the book. In the meantime, I felt that I needed to switch gears from my music career to something else but I didn't quite know what I wanted to do. About four years ago I ran across this book in my library and decided that I should like to read it again. After re-reading this book I completely connected with Feng shui and related holistic modalities. I started reading everything I could find on Feng shui which consequently led to me obtaining a professional certification in Feng shui through Feng Shui Designs with Master James Jay. Through Feng shui I naturally found my way to Qigong and Mindfulness meditation practice. (I am currently studying Qigong with masters Francesco Garri Garripoli and Michaël Bijker). It was a natural progression and I really don't know how it all happened, it just evolved. If someone would have told me many years ago that I would be doing what I am now doing, I would have been totally perplexed. Holistic health has found me and I am honored to walk this path.
Part of my responsibility as a professional holistic health advocate is to convey to others that it is actually worth their while to make an investment in themselves. Most normally when we think of the word investment, we automatically think in terms of finances. We not only want to be successful in financial matters but we also want to be successful in our own personal quality of life. When one is excited to invest in themselves this excitement and enthusiasm automatically translates into all other areas of life. This is living holistically.
MY APPROACH TO FENG SHUI:
My consulting work and lectures are based upon the BTB School of Feng shui, which stands for Black-Sect Tantric Buddhist Feng shui and was developed by Grand Master, Lin Yun. BTB relies heavily upon the intentional aspects of living and the way we deal with our physical spaces. This approach to Feng shui is opposed to the Compass School, which relies heavily upon directional calculations, personal best directions, lucky numbers, time periods, etc.
Feng shui is the science of observation and common sense. I utilize Feng shui and teach Feng shui from a practical point of view instead of bombarding the client with overly detailed energy explanations and calculations. It is my mission to make Feng shui understandable and to insure that the applications of Feng shui to your life circumstances are real and practical for you. We are affected by the energy of our environments on a daily basis. These environments are the home, the property around the home and our work spaces. When energy is balanced in our environments it follows that our lives will also be more balanced. This is the essence of Feng shui.
Some issues that can put a space and our lives out of balance are florescent lighting, too much furniture in a room, the size of the furniture being too large or too small, doors that face each other, inadequate lighting (natural or artificial), odd angled room dimensions, a tree that is in line with your front door, too much use of Yin (dark) colors in the home, broken items that are waiting to be repaired and so much more. All of these things affect us deeply by triggering our nervous system. If we can identify these energy issues, and take the proper course to correct these issues we can take control of our living environments and live as optimally as possible. Feng shui then can be viewed as a kind of acupuncture for the home, home property and business space. Feng shui is one of the finer things in life that will truly enhance one’s quality of living. It is my passion to share this knowledge with you.
MY APPROACH TO QIGONG:
I approach Qigong from a practical standpoint. I easily demonstrate that once the three components of Qigong are understood (slow moving body movements, breath and Yi, our mental attitudes), one can utilize Qigong NOW and for a lifetime. One does not and should not have to spend several years in practice before they can reach a particular level of mastery in order to receive the benefits of Qigong. We live in a modern world now. We think quicker and learn faster than ever before. We now know that we all have the mastery within us and are therefore naturally empowered like never before. Everything matters: life style choices, diet, exercise, holistic practices, spiritual practice, the environments where we live and play, the way we carry ourselves to the thoughts that we think. Yes, we all knew these things before but now we are truly taking these things to heart and DOING them! Qigong is here for you now!
